SILMU ry, in partnership with the Latvian Leader Brasla, is launching the Manor Project. This initiative aims to develop new tourism services and enhance awareness of the region’s manors through a cultural-historical lens. Alongside existing tourist manors, there are potential sites in the area for developing additional services. The project will run from 2024 to 2026.
Project objectives:
- Assess Needs: Identify the requirements for developing tourism services related to the region’s manors and evaluate the need for a unified marketing strategy.
- Develop Services: Create tourism services tied to the manors through cultural history, including workshops and seminars.
- Enhance Marketing and Accessibility: Improve the promotion and accessibility of manor services, organize manor tours in the region, and market these tours both locally and beyond.
- Foster International Cooperation: Develop international partnerships and establish new networks through study trips to Latvia.
- Promote Sustainability: Integrate principles of responsibility and sustainable development (economic, sociocultural, ecological, and local) into practices. Plan from the outset how materials and expertise will be sustained and maintained.
